I recently installed a JBS sheeve kit. When I opened up the primary sheeve there was a large shim/washer inside that I believe was un place behind the colar, the color was worn on the end like a shim had been there. I didn't see this placed in any of James videos and the yamaha dealer could not see it on there diagrams. I put the colar on and left the shim off. The bike is running great and no problems noted. Of course after I completed everything I found a UTV crap video on youtube that emphasizes placing the shim before putting the primary sheeve colar on.  Is anyone running there 660 without the shim post JBS sheave and should I be tearing this thing apart again? Thx guys

Perfect! The bike has gobs of torque now and top end is up 5mph so didn't think I really needed it anyway! One thing I can't remember is the direction I put the belt.. I think I put it in the bike the same direction it came out of the package -700 belt. I'm hearing its directional but have read some reviews stating its just serves as a reminder which way its goes for removal/service. Again the bike/clutch is working awesome. Do I need to pull the cover back off to check or should I run it?
