| recently done a little motor work to the ol rhino, also got my a/f gauge installed. I started it up and it was idling like shit and the a/f gauge read 18.9 so i back the a/f screw out to get it right, AND to get it right i had to back it out 7.5 turns just to get the gauge to read 14. So now my question is with a 45 pilot jet in the carb now and 7.5 out on the screw. should i try to go up just one jet size or do u think i should go with 2 sizes up. the only pilot jets i have available are 45,50,55,60,65 i dont have any half jet sizes. Thanks | |

| Jason, I'm no expert but 7.5 turns out seems turned out quite a bit. Probably something else is causing the problem. | |

| From what i gathered over the last few weeks is that. A/f screw and pilot both have effect on idle. Kinda like every jet in the Carb does not work solo. Hope this makes since. And please let me know if I'm wrong. (a/f+pilot=idle and bottom) pilot+needle= bottom and mid (needle + main= mid and top) then main is wtfo. This may be wrong. But that's why I think I need a bigger pilot. | |

| The A/F mixture screw only operates to 3 full turns, It is wide open after 3 turns. You need to go up on your pilot jet to atleast 50, The screw is for fine tuning only. | |

| It's been awhile since I looked at it but 55-60 sounds right. | |
