need help machining a rod.

I was wondering if there is anyone out there that can help me by machining a part for me. I need a rod roughly 3/8" diameter that is 11 3/4" long and the two ends machined down and threaded to a 6.0 mm 1.0 pitch. But one end is a right hand thread and the other end is a left hand thread. I have tired machine shops around here and they don't want to do it or can't do the left hand thread. This doesn't go on my Rhino it's actually for my honda shadow for it's shift linkage. If anyone can help me out it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I know that the 3/8=.375 I don't know what you need for the 6mm thread , what I 'm getting at is find out what you need the rod turned down to for 6mm threads have local shop turn it then you get 6mm dies one left one right an tread the rod your self an get a can cutting tool oil

If your part is similar to #14 below it will be most likely cheaper to just buy an OEM one.

I know this is an old post. If u havent got one yet, what i would do is buy a piece of 3/8 rod drill a hole in both ends. Get 2 male hiem joints then tap the holes the same size of the threads on the hiem joints. No machining required. Then run bolts thru the eyes in the hiem joints and hook them to you shifters
