Seat pan rust

Got an adjustable seat base for my drivers seat, the wife is kinda short. Any how one bolt got broke off during the removal of the original seat base.long story short i had to pull the cover and padding off to get to the back side. I couldnot believe the rust on the pan. I will post a pic later tonight. This thing has never been mudded, never been in the rain yet. And i have prolly washed it 5 times in the 2 years i have owned it. I got it from the original owners wife who was in her late 80's and she remembered it was in her barn a year after her husband died. So im sure they never had it in the water. So next time i get some down time im getting them sandblasted and spraying them with appliance epoxy. If you are ever bored and have some time pull your seats apart and see what ya got

installed an adjustable seat base on mine also wife is only 4'10 and it was to hard for her to reach works great, rust my guess mabe condisation from the black seat heating up in the sun and cooling off maybe

After looking today it seems like my seats r missing the metal rings that go around the holes on the front of the seatback by the bottom. Gonna have to find some. Think thats where the water is goin in when i wash it

If you use your machine up here in the salt belt like I do, there will be holes right through!
