| Go Warn, Go Overpriced! You pay for the famous name, IMO. Go viper, had one and zero issues. Also had Warn, had a few issues. Have a Superwinch now and zero issues, so far. I ride in a creek and kept all of them in water on a daily basis. You have to maintain them along with your rhino, but I had more issues out of my Warn than any other. May have just got a bad one who knows...Good luck. | |

| I've had two vipers and the only problem I've had was one contactor box needed pecked on with a wrench because the contacts were sticking in the off position due to not being used much. I use mine alot in the winter to plow and get me out of places I shouldn't have even tried in the snow. I have seen all of the top brand winches fail. I had a Superwinch that was trash every single time I really needed it, had another that was trouble free for years. A friend had a new Warn that almost never worked, got recalled, and was still junk when he got it back.
My current 3k viper is from 2008. I bought it for the 450 when it was new. It's been plowing snow every winter without any problems other than wearing the wires in half at the bottom of the remote handle. Easy fix with wire strippers and a screwdriver. I use the remote when I plow because I can hold it and the shifter in my hand at the same time. I didn't even mount the rocker switch in the new rhino, just the plug-in for the remote.
They cannot be beat for the money, and you can buy every single part if you ever do have any problems. | |

| I'm not trying to be a salesman, Warn makes a top notch product. I just can't justify paying what they want for one. That's money that can buy other cool things for my ride. | |

| Not going to turn this into a debate but everyone compares there winch to a Warn for a reason. I have bought all of my Warn winches from ATV Outfitters. Not sure if there is a vendor on this site that sells Warns or not. | |
