| I noticed a little diff oil on the garage floor. I thought maybe the fill bolt backed off, NOPE! 3 hair line cracks on the bottom right side of the diff (same side as fill bolt), WTF? I rarely use 4wd and don't drive too crazy anyway. Thoughts on why this happened, is this a weak spot on the diff? I was about to buy a JBS sheave and now this, needless to say I am pissed. I would be ok with it if I drove the crap out of it, maybe that is my problem I don't LOL. Suggestions on fixing without replacing that side with new...? | |

| 10-4. What bothers me is why it cracked? I looked on the other side (other forumn) and found a few were the ring gear bolts back off and it cut into the case. Looks like that is what happened to me, sucks! James pm a new side, with the seals and whatever else I might need when you get a chance. What double sucks is I just had my wife talked into getting the sheave (safety issues, belt slipped and scared her to death)!

| I have more pictures, but you get the idea. That is a diff oil and diff housing slurpee. I just hope it is not too mucked up inside. No warning signs other than starting leaking oil at the hairline cracks. In need of one half of the housing for sure, as of now. More to come... | |

| Pass. side and I also need that bolt that is backed out. boogered up the threads. I guess a new seal also, I will probably muck it up taking it out. Looks like a c clip holding the bearing in on that side, is that right? Just PM the prices and parts (that I might need). I am pissed, until this shit happened I was getting the sheave! Give me u joint prices also for the front. Got a little wobble in my shaft... | |

| Are those cracks something JB weld could fix? I know some people swear by it, I have not used it too much so don't know. I don't weld and nobody around my parts will touch alum. I pm'd James for prices on new half and will probably go that route for piece of mind, but what do yall think? | |

I will never doubt jb weld | |
