| Thanks! Nice truck, the reason I didn't buy a 6.0 is because I can't afford to do head studs, head gaskets are anything of that matter if anything goes wrong, plus to find a lower millage one is a little out of my price range. What exhaust and intake do you recommend, that's about all I'm going to do, can't afford to build the trans or put a whole lot of money in her. Thanks! | |

| You just got yourself one hell of a truck! The trans may need attention one day, but other than that, you should be good for a while.
As far as performance goes, all I know is my friend's 7.3 will run like hell with the banks six gun on it. I don't even know if they still make that tunner or not, but it is amazing. Level 2 and 3 gives 19mpg with 35s on it, and level 6 flat out runs like crazy. Watch the exhaust temps after the mods though. His will get a little hot if he dogs it for a few miles with it maxed out.
I think they all came with 265/75 16s on them. | |

| Thanks guys. A friend of ours has 4 powerstrokes, two 7.3s and 2 6.0s and he said he knows a place that will rebuild the trans for 1800 bucks when it comes time. | |

| 4" turbo back exhaust alone will wake it up, and my pops likes his S&B I bought him. and as far as a tuner there is a ton out there depending on what you are lookin for as far as performance or towing... you could do intake and exhaust for probly under 500$ my pops has a superchip pretty much just for the trans shifting points and boostsd.kine pressure. | |

| Good lookin ride !! They either came with 235's , or 265's ...my 02 had the 265's on it new. I'm runnin a Diablo chip , with the three position switch...think it's like +75 hp on low , and + 115 on high. I'm happy w/the set-up ....only run it on high , whenever I wanna "smoke-out" sum "yuppie" in a ragtop !!...lol Black smoke is kool ; but , at $4 a gallon , I don't flip the "smoke-switch" (that's what my son calls it ) very often. | |
