| Do any of you guys have an issue with your hoods popping out of place when you ride hard. Mine keeps shifting forward and popping the two tabs at the top out of the dash and those tabs ride up on my dash and I have to keep pulling over and popping them in place. | |

| I haven't had that problem. Those tabs barely go in the holes on mine, I don't know how they stay in. They get on my nerves a little. I've been wondering if I would get any vibration noise if I trimmed them off. | |

| Yes mine pops all the time on my 660. Especially when I hit deep water fast and the water pressure pushes up on the hood. | |

| Mine mostly does it at high speeds if I I hit something that bottoms my suspension out. I was thinking about buying a couple of the pins and rubber latches that are on the sides and putting them on each side of the hump on the top of the hood connected to the dash. | |

| Mine does this, exactly what you are talking about. It's super annoying. It's like the tabs aren't quite long enough. My half-assed fix was to put a small strip of adhesive foam insulation on the dash panel, the kind about a wide as that flat area. It makes the hood vibrate less and makes those tabs much tighter in the groove. | |

| I cant even get mine to go inside the little holes.... I just leave it undone and live with it.... it will only pop up a little bit,, extra streamline cooling cause the hot air can come out lol.... just go faster | |

| I was thinking maybe some hood pins would fix it, and they add what like 25hp or something right | |

| Too much air pressure under the hood from forward motion will cause the hood to pop open..... | |

| I guess the only thing that sucks about it is when those tabs pop up they ride on top of my cowl and scratch it up. I guess I could just cut them off and see if affects how my hood stays shut. | |

| I like the hood pin idea. I know you don't need to lock your hood, but the ones that take the key don't stick up hardly any and have a nice low profile look to them. You could put them about 10" or so from the center in the back and they would look ok. Hood would not move at all then. | |

| willykiller you weren't joking about the air pressure under the hood pushing them up. I had my tabs pop out last night a couple of times and at 60mph my hood was probably 3 inches above the cowl. It's time to kick this problem in the arse. | |
