I went to change my brake pads and noticed one of the pad pins had been hit by something. And the head is striped. Beyond drilling it out. What can I use to extract the pin. I've used ez-outs in the past and not had much luck with them I usually break them off. If I can find one I think a t35 star bit would work but no one has one around here . Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance.

T-35 TORX should be easy enough to find, if you can get the tool to grip at all, you should heat the pin before applying to much torque to it. I bought new pins for mine to replace any damaged, don't forget to clean and lube the sliders and pads and pins with dielectric compound. The caliper pins are Allen head 6mm I think.

How do you clean and lube the sliders? I've got the grease for it just have never done it. Actually that was why I was taking it apart to begin with.

I wipe off any old dirt or grease, some 40 grit paper or if the dirt corrosion is real stuck I use my sandblaster.

Anyone know how to take the sliders out of the caliper. Not the pins that hold the pads but the actual slider that moves?

You might want to consider getting a new caliper if it's beat up beyond repair. I bet James could set you up.
