| So I took the family on a ride tonight in the mountains and we came across this poor Bastard with a brand new Wildcat. A little bolt that holds his rear suspension arm fell out and caused his CV axle to rip out of the rear end destroying the CV joint, I stayed and helped him get it all tied up so it would hang free under the machine and followed him back down the mountain and I just couldn't help myself and had to take a picture of it and I will post the pic in the morning from my computer. | |

| I work in manufacturing, and I can tell you that the way we get pushed every minute, overlooking a loose bolt on something like that is going to happen alot, and keep getting worse no matter the brand. It's more more more, faster faster faster!
I bought a new 650 Kawi in 02, and the 1st ride out I turned my headlights on and it died on me. Headlight wires were pinched between the frame and front rack under the fenders. Good thing Dad was there, because I wasn't quite smart enough to figure out what to do back then.
With a bad economy, greed is at a all time high. Companys know they can treat their employees like shit and get by with it. They are to stupid to know that when the economy is bad, people are more concerned with the quality of their purchase than ever, and they are just screwing themselves. Tell them big wigs this shit and they say "you don't understand big business".

| Oh I know all about the manufacturing world and quantity over quality which really sucks for the consumers, I work for a company called Oldcastle Materials Group which is one of the largest sand, gravel and asphalt producers in the world. they are all about safety and getting shit done correct but there is always something that goes wrong whether it be something wrong with the product or something that was human caused. we have our share of bad mechanics that could care less if they did a good job or not on fixing a truck or paver as long as they see that paycheck every week they don't seem to give a shit. | |

| I check my stuff after every ride. This is a good example of why that's a good idea. Another example would be the day I was out wheeling in the truck with my friends and lost a locknut off of a front spring shackle bolt. Someone seen the bolt hanging out the side with the inside shackle hanging down. Couldn't find the nut anywhere, so we stuck the bolt back in it and ducktaped the shit out of it. I drove it home like that 55 mph the whole way that night. You can fix anything if you use enough. Carry a roll with you.
As bad as that would suck, at least he wasn't running 45-55 through the woods of wv and lost his rear tire. May not be hear to tell about it.
