Ball joint

I bought a new ball joint from James and I left it in freezer for a couple of days before I installed it. I went to install it yesterday and after countless whacks with a BFH and the axle nut socket i finally got it most of the way in. Needless to say with the last hammer whack it tore the boot. I tried to take the BJ out today and the threaded portion of the BJ was stuck in lower control arm hole. Ive tried pushing it out using my vise and it won't budge because its tapered. Ive tried heating it with a torch and even that won't budge it. Any ideas or do I have to buy a new A-arm?

Since the boot is already torn, use a forked ball joint remover to get the tapered threaded part out of the lower control arm.
Get a new ball joint and use a vise and proper sized socket/pipe or better yet, a ball joint installer, to press it into the knuckle.
