| Well , since my wet clutch sent crap all through the motor including the oil cooler which just could not be cleaned I decided to put a bigger cooler in . The cooler is a trans cooler from Advanced Auto. It's an Imperial Maxi-Cool XL. Then I used the cooling fan from a 450 Grizzly that I had from when my step son had wreaked the quad. It seems to work good so far. I left it run after shutting the rhino off and with in a min or 2 the cooler was cool to the touch. I plan on running it all the time while the motor is running just to make sure the oil stays cool. I'll have a switch hooked up so I can turn it off if I get into deep mud , water , or in the winter . | |

| I like the oil cooler up there. That's something I wouldn't mind doing to my Rhino so that I can clean all the mud out of the radiator.
I also like those Walker Evans Racing shocks... lol. Mine have a longer spring on the front, but otherwise those shocks look awfully familiar.

| I also have plans to install an oil temp gauge when I install a coolant temp and volt gauge. If I wasn't in such a rush to get the rhino up and running before Thursday ( h&m trip ) I would have done a little cleaner job like painting the brackets black and cleaned everything. | |

| I pretty sure this mod saved my motor last weekend. I lost all the coolant when a rad hose came off the motor. The motor ran for a good 5 mins before I got to a place to shut it down and see why the temp light was on.
When I shut the motor off and started checking stuff I found the rad was cool to the touch. Telling me there was no coolant. After fixing the problem I started it up and it ran great the rest of that day and the next. No noises from the motor at all.
I had the fan from my old 450 grizzly so it only cost me about $65 for the cooler and you can find them cheaper if you look around.

| So you never have cooling issues? There was someone on here that said there's wouldn't cool in the hot part of the day. I couldn't understand why. Think it could be a difference between a 660 n 700 cooling? I really need to do something with mine soon or it will stuck up behind my head soon. I'm done cleaning it 24/7. | |

| On mine the rad fan would run a lot but after putting the oil cooler on it would only run one and a while if going slow and in the gas like running in rocks | |

That was me Banchee6. Only difference with my setup compared to flimmy is I have my rad and oil cooler up on the frame rails. Flimmy's rad is still down in the stock position. Having two fans will make a huge difference in cooling the whole setup. I am awaiting my hood scoop for installation. Nice setup flimmy!
