| I started building my new cage today. It will be a 2 seater with the top about 3" shorter than stock. The bed will still be able to dump when it is done. This was a main goal of mine when picking a design. I looked at a ton of other cages, and took some ideas from quite a few of them. I will be posting progress pics as I make some. The first pics is some of the equipment being used. JD2 model 3 bender with hydraulic power. The ram has a leak, so it makes a mess, but works like a champ. I am using a custom built tubing notcher. It uses electric motor with rollers and a sanding belt. It is fully adjustable to almost any angle. It makes notching a lot easier than the grinder method. There is also a mill in the shop if I ever learn how to use it. It has been 5 years since I bent any tube, or notched anything. Took me a little bit to get the hang of it, but it came back pretty quick. Anyway, here are the pics. If you have any quesions, I'll domy best to answer them. Stephen This was the last thing I built before taking a break for a while. Full tube chassis rock crawler. Finished product.

| The notcher was built at a manufacturing plant nearby for a project. They used it once, then it sat for a while until we got a hold of it. It is custom built. It has interchangeable rollers for different size tubing. The bracket pivots that holds the tube. One handle moves it into the belt, another moves it left and right as you are grinding. Keeping it moving keeps the belt cooler and last longer. Not sure if ill get anymore done today. Spending some time with the wife.

| I finished it. There wasn't a lot of interest on this site about it so I posted a couple finished pics on a local forum I'm on. Blackwateratv. I will try to post a couple here in the next day or so if you can't find them.
Let me know, Stephen | |
