I'm sorry but I'm still saying something was there. Maybe not when you took it apart, but something was there. I wonder if someone sold him a shim and the previous owner installed it wrong? There's no way two round parts can wear into a square. I watch enough Sesame Street in my life it know this. Lol

My opinion for what it's worth. Looks like the cam plate and collar weren't touching completely and got water or contaminates in between and stained both pieces.

I have only took this part off motor so far working out of town and a full time and two part time jobs don't leave much wrench time.....as far as a contaminate more then likely was probably never services took 4 hrs in parts washer to grease out......took a straight edge across end of shaft and couldn't get a .0015 fealer gauge under it on all sides of the squared rub marks... try to get rest off this weekend

Just looks very interesting for sure. James can hook you up with whatever parts you need to get back going again. Time to stop wrenching and start riding on those days off

That's what I'm saying James. Regardless of how much trash was in there, there's no way something could go between them. There had to be a square type washed installed there for this makes to be made. Which probably made excessive wear inside the cam plate and it kinda looks like the splines are a little worn down as well. The damage was done and he out it back stock after so it wouldn't do any further damage. The previous owner that is. Some people don't know Bette and listen to the wrong people like in that other crappy site. Lol

it will work great together...the kit will include sheave, weights, sliders, anti friction washers... it will depend on mods and wear as far as the rest of the parts needed...spring,fixed,belt,ect
