Subject: any write ups on sheave removal Tue Nov 12, 2013 9:35 pm
My rhino feels like the clutch is slipping so im wanting to take it apart and inspect everything, also want to know if i have a stock or aftermarket sheave so i can order a JBS!!

no the oil has about 3 hours on it maybe lil more

Hey Skeeter ! Here is a great vid from the Master Himself explaining a Hotrod sheave. You can see in the vid where He mills around the center shaft so that the sliders fit better and farther into the sheave. When You pull Yours apart, You be able to see whether this has been done or not. You can also see how the camplate sits all the way against the sheave. If You get in there and are still not sure, post up a pic of the inside of the sheave and James can tell You if it is one of His. Be sure and check out His other vids on sheave installation and secondary sheave servicing.

No i usually change my oil every weekend ride i just have not rode it hard in a while just around my house in a field so i use the valvoline atv oil 10-40 cuz its affordable and ready available i would have to drive hour and half to get yamalube the bottle says its for wet clutches, its weird cuz one day it worked fine and next day it didnt

have u been running ValvolineĀ for a while meaning several oil changes .
