Elka Stage 2 or Stage 4

Which shock would be a better fitted for trails/rock, the Elka stage 2 or stage 4? From what I've read the stage 4 sounds like more of a racing/speed handling shock?

I run Elka stage 1 custom valved and sprung for my rhinos weight and they ride like a dream and are no comparison to stock shocks in ride or handling. I have 325lbs front spring and 550lb rear springs. I often wished I had gone stage4 but guy from elka told me and my dealer I wouldnt notice a difference in ride on a trail comparing the two to justify the difference in price so that alone sold me that the company wasnt trying to over sell me. Said a custom sprung and valved shock would ride as well as a piggyback except in 30 minutes of whoops at the dunes. Madmax1 is running same elka shocks I am he had his setup after me and seems to love his and they were only $975 for set of 4.

i torture mine ..i have to have stage 4..i have even busted one of the steel braided lines..
