PostSubject: New Sheave   New Sheave Icon_minitimeMon Dec 09, 2013 6:39 pm

I think it's time for a new sheave. Nothing wrong with my current stock one right now and it handles the riding conditions with no issue......I just think it's time for some more power/speed. Since I ride in the So Cal desert with lots of hard pack, some rocks and some soft stuff, I want a set up that best fits the all around conditions.

I have a stock 07 660 sport for the most part with a 4 seat cage (rear seat removed), a Dynatek CDI, Hi flow fuel pump and a Jetted Carb. Running 25x8 and 25x10 on stock sport wheel with stock suspension.

What would be the best set up?

Thanks in advance.

I'd call james "WV hot rod rhino". and let him set ya up with a sheave, weights and spring if ya need one. he won't steer ya wrong. even if it means he doesn't sell something.

PRP. They are about 6 years old so they are breaking down a bit. They have held up extremly well.

Don't know, I assume an orange spring and 14 or 16 gr weights. Told James what I have and the riding conditions. I trust his knowledge and expertise.

Pretty much what he sent me, after installing it all and with my CDI I was able to get my stock 660 up to 56 MPH with killer low and mid range also. Very impressed with the setup.
