| Im designing a box extender, and was hoping someone knew what the weight on the rear axle for a 700 was...or close to it. Would it be about half of the average wet weight of 1200lbs? Or is it more front end heavy? Just curious if anyone has put the rear of their rhino on a scale... | |

| The more I think about it, it seems to be 1/2 and 1/2. | |

Then there is something wrong with your numbers...if the front is lighter its not gonna nose dive.

| the front is lighter thats why the springs are heavier on the rear...shocks will make it nose dive | |

| apparently I am the one with lots to learn...so the rear is heavier...so I should be building to a spec of about 60% of total weight for my main frame, and I will have underside and cable supports as well, just trying to sort out the size of steel tubing Im gonna need to use. Once its all done I'll show you guys some pics, it will be pretty sweet. | |

no its just a drop in rack to support the rear tires of the rhino so I can pack it in my short box truck. I will incorporate a hitch within a hitch design so I can still pull a trailer if I desire, but will have bottom supports that tie up to the rack from my hitch, as well as cables that clip onto my tailgate studs...I will remove the tailgate for this, and the whole thing will mount into my 5th wheel hitch runners that are bolted to my frame in the box. something like http://www.pdsfabrication.com/GateSaver.html but better

| Oh I see, that makes sense now, don't want to trust those tailgate cables on an expensive machine. | |
