I ran the Mikuni pump on my 660 for years on my stock engine with no issues. I do recomend installing the fuel line kit with this pump. I'm still running the same pump and kit on my 686.

The fuel line kit allows the dual outputs on the pump to be utilized, instead of plugging one off with a cap. The return line to the tank is larger, compensating for the additional flow. It's amazing to see how much fuel this pump actually moves. The clear lines do allow you to see the flow. Well worth the money!
