| Really wanting to buy a K&n air filter with adapter that allows You to clamp on the filter. Does anybody have a used one or know where a bargain is? Would like to find one cheaper than $120. | |

| Have you heard of the RAIS snorkel mod for the top of the airbox lid?
I highly suggest it if you run with the lid on. Also, you will have to rejet the carb.

| 04 style is simple removing the factory snorkel that connects the airbox to the engine cowl. You can remove it and close off the engine cowl intake hole and all the intake noise is gone ! It also allows more air like the rais tube mod and yes I did have to re jet for it.
Onebuiler, Thanks for the great find ! Just ordered one !

I'm running the Dragonfire Billet tip. It does help! Have you heard about grinding the welds on the header pipe flanges? It also helps on the low end.

| You have the 2 donuts between the head and the header. Also, a sleeve at the coupler between header and muffler. If your careful, you can reuse them. | |

| Got my UNI filter and adapter installed. Very nice set up ! Not sure if I done the right thing on oiling it. Local bike shop sold me a can of foam air filter oil that they said is the best....HHmmmm. It looked just like K&N air filter oil but says it is for all foam filters. Have not noticed any huge increase in performance, but I already had a K&N and I only bought it for the adapter. It seals very well and that's what I was looking for. Thanks guys ! | |

| When I oiled mine I just sprayed some oil on it then threw it in a zip lock bagie and rubbed the oil in that way. Saves having messy hands... | |
