| in process of rebuilding engine. my wet clutch grenaded trashing the drum and sending a ton of metal shavings thru my oil and ruining bearing.
just discovered today my cam and also where the cam rides in the head and valve cover seem to have taken a beating from this as well. I can buy a new cam but my question is what about the head. the surface no longer looks polished and smooth but looks dull where the metal has wore on it.
can this be re-polished or will i need to get another head and valve cover to go with new cam??

Yes pins broke on mine also but it was those cheap replacement shoes that guy in Louisiana was selling. tough lesson learned. just rebuilt the engine last spring and now doing it again.

| new crank pin and bearing, crank bearing, cylinder, piston, wrist pin, timing chain,
so far thats all i have come across.
all of the above was new after first build.
now i will be bored 40 over and moving up to 10:1 comp. and JBS sheave, all new wet clutch adding weight to wet clutch.
not sure what to do with the cam stock or next step up.
i dont want to go to crazy on head work or biggest cam.
