| Is that clutch a OEM Yamaha or some cheap aftermarket crap the dealer threw in there to make it go away?? Never seen a Yammie clutch srew up like that. | |

| thanks guys I'll look at them tonight and I have no idea what make of the wet clutch the dealer put in. It was a Yamaha dealer. | |

| theres another member in the (engine) treads that's had the same failure, may want to flush the oil cooler out as well , it the (grind dust ) got his cam journals main bearing and more , so you got lucky that way but you need to clean clean flush, magnet an any thing else you can think of to get that stuff out. know I long winded here but thought you want to know good luck with it | |

| You might want to just get a new oil cooler. The metal may not come out of the cooler. Yrs ago I did some work on Fords. Their transmission warrenty required a new cooler. They said because of the internal design of it, it could not be flushed clean. 1 more thing to consider. | |

| I am going to replace the oil cooler with a bigger trans cooler and fan. I also need to put valve seals in so when I have the cover off I'll clean the cam and topend. | |
