14g or 16g weights

Just wanted to ask you all thats ran both how much diffrence there is between the two? Can you feel it much from seat of pants? I'm running orange spring now with 16s, heavy 27'' tires, full cab, cdi. Everything else stock.
Also probably be installing a cam for more low end. Will this change the clutch setup i have now?

You need 16's for your bike 14's will rev to quick.

I've ran both and have similar set up to You. Yes You can feel and hear the difference.

It really comes down to a personal preference. Think of it like driving a manual transmission. The lighter the weight, the longer Your leaving it in a gear before You shift. with 14's compared to 16's You will rev higher which is great for take off, but it gives You higher cruising RPM's. I prefer the 16's on mine , but I have 26in tires. Your heavy 27in would make me lean toward the 14's, but then if You cam it, I think the 16's would be better.

I have never run the 16's but james recommended the14's with my 27's it seems to keep me in the meat of the power band but does rev a little higher than stock, do you do a lot of hills or pullin through mud i'd say the lighter wt's would be better if runnin on the flats than probably the 16's but ask james to be sure

Try a mix of both... called 15s it should give u the best of both worlds
