| Seems the OEM belt is the preferred for all the rhinos. | |

| I went down to napa got a geforce napa belt.. Cross-reference a gates belt for a 700 cost me 54 bucks.. Figured it was worth a shot.. I picked up 3mph so i guess mine was slipping | |

| i would carry a spare in case it dont hold up you wont be stranded....width has alot to do with top speed..some are wider than stock...you gain top but you lose some bottom and its hard on the wet clutch .....its like pulling out in second every time in your car....look at it and see when its stopped is the belt all the way to the top of the secondary if it is you should be fine other than durability... | |

| ...the yamaha belt is the only belt i have ever seen hold up so that is what we will push .....quality and what we know works... | |

| thanks for the info. its better to go with what is proven. james my extra rhino funds are almost built up enough to get your sheave kit and i might as well get the belt from you also. thanks again | |

| I agree with James. The Rhino 700 belt is what you want to run whether you got a 660 or a 700. We punish the belts in mud and water with big tires. The belt is not the weak link in a Yamaha. With a good OEM belt, I think you'll blow a CV before the belt smokes. | |

| oem belt has held up the best for me also..
Last time i looked a belt up at work(yama dealer) The 660 belt was superseded to the 700.. so there all the same now! | |

| I watched a brand new Gates belt get shredded in a JBS sheave.. I advised against his aftermarket decision, It was on a week long Utah trip. He was very disappointed to be towed back to camp. | |
