| Check your weights and make sure you installed them right. | |

| Make sure the ribs on the weights are up and towards the center hub, install your cam plate and cover hold everthing tight with your hands. | |

| well I pulled the weights and checked them and they are in right. when I put the primary on I can see splines showing through the camplate. I got it to spin clockwise for a bit then I can spin it back counter clockwise but the belt doesn't come all the way to the top. it fell like im turnin the crank. I have an alternator and it works off the crank and when I turn the primary it spin my alternator. feeling lost.. help I wanna ride tomorrow | |

By the way that you worded this, I get that you are spinning the pulleys by hand and expecting the belt to 'variate' (move up and down to change the pulley ratio). The primary has to be spun fast enough to fling the weights outward sufficiently to close the primary sheaves for it to do this. The primary stays fully open up to a bit past idle (more than 1800 RPM before it will move). I don't think anyone is capable of spinning that thing that fast by hand. You will want to have the outer cover off but everything else put together. Run the engine with the machine in neutral. You should be able to see the belt variation as you rev the engine up. | |
