Subject: clutch issues Sun Aug 18, 2013 2:21 pm
slug my wet clutch and installed JBS sheave and I have this pinging noise now and I have checked the weights and they are good. I made a video any help would be nice.

cause the cage is not on..it will mess up the one way

took the primary and the fixed sheave off and it didn't do that. kinda sounds like the fixed sheave is catching on something and its has some play where it slides over the splines. dod you think I nedd to replace the fixed sheave

Probably just the weights rattaling around,when u rev it up it should go away.

It should not be noisey, something is worn or broken,it won't go away.

Check make sure you don't have one weight flipped causing a little slack for that weight. If not, I agree with James on the one way. We had one lock up on us and it sorta made that kinda noise.
