| Well sad to say but it is getting that time a year where we will be hearing that nasty four letter "S" word again... SNOW. Anyone do any snow rides? Well,I got the chance to ride from Flat Top to the Wagon Wheel on New Years Eve last year and I have to say it was the best ride of the year, with 6" of fresh wet fallen snow it was the most scenic views you could ever ask for, Better than a majesty of a crisp winters morn while watching cousin eddie empting a chemical toilet into a storm drain wearing his bath robe I do have to say!!!!!! So whos up for some winter riding and what do you do to prepare for the elements? | |

| We had 17" of wet snow last weekend and busted up the trees and power here. I was without power for 3 days. The Rhino was up at the mountain Casa and got 3 feet of snow there, hope to go up this coming weekend if I can get in. There is another storm coming on Monday that could dump big snow above 7K feet so I'm going to try and get the Rhino off the mountain before it hits. Love riding in the snow just watchout for the deep snow it'll stick your ass. | |

| Pic from last winter, about 10" of powder with hard pack snow under the powder. You don't want to spin the tires to hard or you'll drop throught the crusted snow underneath and it's a burger to get a Rhino out of deep snow. There was about 18" of snow we were riding on. I was up on the mountain over the weekend and couldn't get into the Casa where the Rhino is because of the snow, maybe next weekend, it's snowing here again today. " /> | |
