| I added a turn of preload in my front shocks yesterday with a hammer and a screwdriver but it seems like there should be a better way to do it. I guess those lock rings are aluminum because my screwdriver was cutting in to them. | |

| I used a big pair of channel locks when I did mine. It helps if you jack up the frame and let the pressure off the springs. | |

| I had it jacked up when I did it but I couldn't really find a way to get the channel locks around the ring with the resi's in the way. | |

| I got frustrated trying to adjust mine on the machine, ended up taking them off and put them in a vice and used a pipe wrench it was way easier. | |

| I think I may break down and buy the wrench for them. I jack mine up and use the punch and hammer to turn them. Spray lots of wd 40 on there so all of that dirt down in the threads of the nut frees up some. That helps a lot. | |

| Here's all of ya'll a helpful tip...get two ratchet straps...prob not ur best , high dollar ones tho. Cut the hook and strap off of the ratchet end...cut ya off about a foot or so off the other end...you don't need the hook...just the strap. Tie it to the ratchet. All ya havta do , is feed the strap thru the spring , and back into the ratchet. Put one on both sides of the spring. Works REALLY well...if you sprayed , and cleaned ur threads , pretty much , turn the nuts by hand. | |
