| Okay guys I got a 660 rhino and am wanting a winch for it and can't decide on which one to go with.....the ones I looked at so far are the 4000 Viper Max from Flimmy, Superwinch 4500 from summit racing Warn 4000 from The EBay Smittybuilt 4000 from a National Tire and Wheel.. Price varies from 150-450. I have a smittybuilt 8000 I'm my pickup and it works fine thus far....all seam similar in looks and performance also I like the flush mount switch that you can get with the vipers. So if anyone can chime in for some input would be great did a search for winchs but it was more or less who has what and no real comparison between others......thanks guys | |

| First off 4,000lbs is plenty of power get a synthetic rope, I have have a Warn,I have heard good things about Viper and don't know the Smittybuilt but you have a 8,000lbs and it is problem free and the price is right maybe you should stay with that brand. The only concern I would have is how water resistant it is. | |

| What are you needing the winch for? Do you do a lot off mudding where you are needing to get out of a hole or are you just wanting one for that once in awhile need? I've use mine about 1-3X a year and glad I've got it when I've needed it. If you play in the mud I don't think the winch lasts as long as someone like myself. What I've heard the Viper is a good winch for the $$. Both bikes I have, have Warn winches, one came with the winch the other I bought use at a good price. | |

| WOW it comes with a lot of stuff. I have never heard of Venom winches. If you decide to gamble on it let us know how it turns out. If you are not a gambler I'd contact Flimmy on the Viper. | |

| Holy crap! If that don't do I don't what will, real cool Needs a lot of amps better make sure the charging and battery are up to snuff. After reading reviews, I would buy something else. Flimmy sells Viper.

| There are many reviews on the Venom and a lot are not complementry and many say there are some false claims even Moto Alliance, and other forums have bad reviews. The Viper sounds like the way to get you monies worth. | |

| Read all the Viper Elite winch specs and you get the same stuff plus a wireless remote a longer and stronger syn rope. They just don't make as big a deal out of what they have. | |

| WOW $200 that seems too good to be true. A Viper Elite , there top of the line winch, will cost about $500 | |

| I got the widespool from flimmy and love it over my old cheapo. actually I don't think I'll buy a regular spool again for a UTV. the extra power you gain from having less wraps from a widespool has been awesome. | |

| BTW I bought my Superwinch before I became a Moto Alliance dealer or I'd have a Viper | |

If I had not already bought a winch and mount that is what I would try. Even if the winch didn't last a week it would not be that bad a deal. But then again I don't rely on the winch for my safety or well being. If it fails just call Flimmy and get a Viper on the way. | |
