| After posting a pic of a couple of my old vehicles it made me go back and look through some old pics. I have had probably between 30 and 40 vehicles in the last 18 years. Here is my goofy ass in 1999 when I first bought my 65 Elcamino. Here is me and my 78 Malibu in 2001 after roasting the tires off of it until I popped a tire and pulled across the street and a cop drove by and called in that the building was on fire. He wasn't very impressed. Here is my wife when she was 16 next to my 85 Blazer with 35's, this was around 1999. | |

| yuck...a Harley. Just messin with ya its a nice looking bike. But you do know what they say about Harleys right? They convert gasoline to noise without the byproduct of horsepower. | |

They convert gasoline to noise without the byproduct of horsepower. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muDI03Kvg00 get real...he just managed to sink 35k (or more) into a bike and make it almost (but not quite) as fast as a 15 year old STOCK sport bike that you can buy for about 4k. That is far from a stock harley.

| personally I think every bike made in the past few years is ugly as hell metric or Harley. not everyone cares about speed and HP. I`ll take a stock 883 sportster over a top of the line metric bike any day of the week. when I get out on my bike I like to cruise and enjoy seeing the things I see. I also like having time to react when some dipshit asshole thinks its more important to text , put on makeup or talk on the phone while driving. | |

| Here is my last 18 months. This is my current rig, 2013 Ford F150 Super Crew XLT 5.0/Auto/3.55's. This is by far the best rig I have owned. Before the F150 was a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport 3.6/Auto/3.73's Before that Jeep was a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 3.6/Auto/3.21's Before that Jeep was a 2012 Chevy K1500 SLT CCSB 5.3/Auto/3.08's. This truck was very disappointing, even with a custom EFI Live tune, exhaust, CAI the truck just got crap fuel mileage. Before the Chevy was a 2008 Nissan Frontier 4.0/Auto that I put a 2.5" lift and 33's on. This was also a great truck. Before the Nissan was a 2012 Chevy Cruze 2LT 1.4T/6sp manual Before the Cruze was a 2007 GMC Sierra K1500 CCSB Classic 5.3/Auto/3.55's | |

a local builder helped me assemble this bike from catalog parts. the seat has a 1929 harley part number! im not bashing Harley because of what they are...but you pay double for getting half as good of a bike. My bike would pull wheelies like in that video with a stock motor. I could out run Harleys all day long. I know cruisers are built for a different purpose than a sport bike and i have owned both and like both. Im just looking at the $ amount you pay vs what you get and there is NO comparison. Your paying for the name and to belong to the "Harley Owners Group (H.O.G)". Your bike looks good by the way....i love the simple classic lines. Is it a soft tail or hard? Looks soft tail but its kind of tough to see in the picture. i paid under $12K for that bike and used the stock motor from my heritage (about $3500 today) not counting labor, of course. have you priced goldwings lately??? it's not about who's the fastest. hell, a stock 600cc gsxr could run circles around a stock harley, but that's not the point. and no, i don't belong to the H.O.G. it's the cliché "since i have to explain it, you don't get it, anyway."

| before the night train I had a sportster that put down 101 hp with 98ft lbs tq in a dyno but it did cost me 5k to get to that. I always rode jap bikes ive owned them all cbr gsxr yzf I love em but I have a family now an im not responsible enough to to keep the front tire on the ground my wife saw me fly by her at 100+ mph on the back tire an she told me that's enough so I sold all the japs an bought a Harley they might not make much hp but they are sure fun to ride. I wouldn't be caught dead on a vstar or Honda Davidson or any other Harley wana be id just spen the extra money an get the name. but that's just me | |

| apparently you didnt price a Harley. and I don't care what you ride I wave to everyone. but check out the retail value on a 5 year old Harley and a non Harley. in the long run they hold their value. that being said, I bought my first Harley in 1971. it was a 1970 sportster with a hardtail welded on. it may have been the worst piece of crap I ever owned. I tell all these RUB's ( Rich Urban Bikers )that I rode Harleys when saddle bags were called tool bags. 1965 my grandpa bought me my first bike, a 50 cc Honda. then I got a 1966 CL 160. when I turned 16 my mom and dad thought I shouldn't ride a bike on the road so yes..............yes...................they bought me a 1965 GTO. (that will keep me safe). anyways guys, it doesn't matter what you ride on 2 wheels, we all put up with the asshole on 4 wheels that could care less if the run us over. but if any RUB is on here, please remember "$20,000.00 and a T-shirt don't make you a f*ckin biker". with luv, Unkle Davey. | |

well said. we call "RUB'S" around here "instant bikers" they buy a new bike an a t shirt an a leather an they think there bikers but anyway I always look at resale value when I buy something cuz I never own anything that long an like to make a little money or break even atleast when I do sell an Harleys hold their values better than any other bike out there.
