Yanmar diesel into '06 660 Rhino

Thanks for the comments. We got all the plastic back on today and went for a ride. She overheated before we made it to the ridge which is about a 1/2 mile uphill pull. EGT's never went above 600 degrees so it looks like the Polaris radiator will have to be swapped in to keep the 'ol girl cool. It's quite a bit bigger and has a bigger fan. She stayed cool riding on the ridge and down the other side and the trip back home on the blacktop. Anyhow, we rode over to a friends house who also has an '06 660 in very good condition. We lined them up in front of his house and he flat blew me away. Once we got moving I could stay with the 660 but, I'd say he out accelerated me by 5 lengths in about 400'. I'm hoping the bigger injector tips will narrow it down to at least two lengths. LOL

I'm gonna re-install the rear swaybar. It does fine and rides a little smoother with it off. However, when we get on the side of a hill, she really leans. I think I can weld some brackets on the rear of the a-arms and mount the sway bar on the back.

I'm about due for a new set of ITP 30's. Any suggestions from anyone on the best place to buy??

maybe james can post up the front sway bar pics and you might be able to modify yours on to the front instead of the rear? just a thought

Hello all...been a while since I've visited this thread.  We've done all the fuel mods except going with a bigger injection pump.  I'm happy with it now.  Still waiting on custom axles from Turner Cycles.  Should be here next week.  She will make 16lbs of boost, revs to 4200 and runs 45 MPH.  I have not re-raced my buddy's 660 yet because of the axles.  I have not re-installed my sway bar.  I'm beginning to like it just as it is.  Here's a little vid of 'er running.

Nice Job the turbo sounds cool

When I first read that someone was going to try this I figured it would just be a joke thread and gone in a few days but this rig turned out pretty damn awesome.
