I think it helped on mine. They were on it when I purchased it though. Seems to be wider in the rear though.

I don't have them on mine either. Since the sway bar is still there I'm assuming the recall was never done.

I took mine to the local Yamaha dealer and they removed my sway bar added the wheel spacers and give me a new helmet. I rode it when I got it back home and noticed it handled alot better and rode better in the type of terrain I ride in. I would definitely get the wheel spacers put on and leave that sway bar off.

I had to take my spacers off when I picked up my new Rhino because it wouldn't on my 5 ft. wide trailer.

the recall was for rollover tendency.
a few morons got hurt and sued yamaha for design flaws.
a wider stance in the rear (2" spacers) helps maintain a little more stability in the corners because it limits oversteer.
you will get more chassis flex without the sway bar.

I think they are 1" spacers so with stock wheels should be 2" wider, I never got mine because I run sra wheels with 27X12 laws on the back so its already about 6" wider than stock.

I just did mine two weeks ago. Yamah still did the 'volunteer upgrade' (sway bar and spacers). I like it better than before.

The wheel spacers gave me a lot more stability on the tight trails.

Yamaha still honors the volunteer recall. The spacers are 2" per side, rear only.

I am back and forth on putting mine back on. I have larger offset wheels already so my rears stick out some already. If I put the spacers back on I am going to have to buy a new trailer.

I've got 2" spacers on all four corner of my bike and like them. I also put a 3" lift on which moved the rear shocks from the inside to the back side of the axles. With adding 27X14 wheels/tires I was looking at spreading the rubber on the ground out. My idea was, if I'm going up, I'm going to spread it out also. The lift and tires had to do with clearance but also with axle angle. I've also ran the bike with double 2" spacers on the back for a total of 8" spread and had zero problems with that. Looked badazz, and throw mud everywhere. Like a Star @ heaven

Did the mods myself,2" billet rear spacers, removed my own sway bar because I had heard that the Yamaha dealers would have to keep the bar as part of the program. I feel on the trail the ride is softer and the suspension articulation is better. When hit the gas in the apex the Rhino slides out better,I think.
