| I've had this problem for about two years on my 07 660. Starts fine, hot or cold but just dies when idleing. It goes from running to idle and sometimes it dies within a minute sometimes it may idle ok for a couple of minutes. It seems to do it less if the choke is out a little. I put on a new fuel pump last year, rutting rhino, but it didn't help much after it dies when I pump it up it starts right up. It runs great otherwise. Any suggestions? Thanks | |

| Good question ! my 07 660 will only idle for about 5 min then die. Then choke to start. I have alba pump with weller racing dual hose kit. My guess has always been that it doesnt have enough vacuum to run the pump very long. | |

| Okay, thanks for the idea. I'll try it when I get everything put back together. Spring maintenance. | |

| the vacuum "signal" from the carb is weak if your idle is too slow. x2 on the clean air filter. | |

| I adjusted the idle which works, but it in my opinion is too high, it slams into gear when shifting. So I put a slight restriction, small nut, in the fuel pump return line and turned the idle back down. Seems to work soooo far. | |

| Scott, Not to shoot down your idea but the fuel return nipple going back into the tank is already restricted to 1/16 inch. My experiance is that over time carbon builds up in the carb and the small holes delivering the fuel, And over time it gets to a point that just dosent run right. I rebuild more Carb's for bad running isues than anything else. Good luck. | |

| Okay, it ran pretty good over the weekend only dying once, stuck in the snow, on an up hill, idling. So should a good cleaning do it? Thanks....... OBW the radiator guards worked great, they kept the snow out of the radiator and held up to the severe snow pack. | |
