| I tried adjusting the shifter cable. I can either get it to go into reverse easy and not go I to low, or low easy and not into reverse. What is the trick to get it to go into reverse and low easy. When I have it adjusted to into reverse easy and try to put it in low and grab the linkage and push it and it will jump into low. It is like the shifter just do not gave enough throw. I have not tore the shifter apart yet but is there anything in there that can be wore out inside the shifter.

| I had the same problem, tried adjusting it later and it finally worked, when mine is in low the light does not come on but it works, try putting it in low then adjusting the linkage until it is tight so that there is no slack maybe. | |

| Yes putting in low is certainly finicky. Mines the same way ,I have to hold it forward tight ,give it a little gas and wait for it ti Click-in before I let go the shifter | |

| me too. my first shifter was worn internally not letting the plastic inside shift the rod in the linkage enough make sure your shifters tight {it moves and the linkage mimics it} for travel | |

Did you rebuild your shifter or just buy a new one. Mine is doing the same as you old one. Thanks | |
