| I guess this would be a product review ! JBS sells a set of tail gate straps that are a definite upgrade for the 660 or 450. I think these may have been included on the 700's from factory. I had James add these to an order I had so I really don't remember how much they cost. The factory ones on my 660 were very small and flimsy and I had already broke one. Needless to say, they were only good for keeping the tail gate in place. I installed the new ones about a week ago and had forgotten about them till the other night. We where using the Rhino on a rescue when I noticed two of the guys had let the tailgate down and used it to step up in the back of the bed. They held !!! Here is a pic I took while I was installing so You can see the difference in the size. Thanks again to Dr. James at JBS for keeping it fun in a Rhino !

| Ha Ha, I busted my ass by sitting on the tailgate when I first got mt Rhino. Scraped my back & spilled my beer!
Lesson learned, Do not sit on tailgate with stock straps.
At least noone got it on film... lol

| Those look like the straps on my 2011 Rhino. I didn't know there were other straps that aren't holding up well. I sit on mine all the time and have not had a problem. Glad you were able to get all fixed up! | |

| The one I repaired, I made out of wire cable. I worked, but not near as nice as the JBS ones ! | |

At least noone got it on film... lol This really sounds like a serious safety issue. Obviously Yamaha has realized this and upgraded the latest models. How come there is not a safety recall on this???? And, with a new soft crash pillow for the butt after watching the safety movie!

At least noone got it on film... lol Not good. Not good at all. We should have a chat with Yamaha about such items. Hope you had a back up beer just incase though.
