| Every time I get about carburetor deep it dies. When we pull it out the water it cranks right up. No water in airbox or oil each time.
I have everything snorkeled and all vent lines ran plus sparkplug is bone dry. Help!

| Electrical connection getting wet have you pulled all your plugs and put dielectric grease in them | |

| There's not really any plugs that high to make it quit. It will do it pretty much every other time I get that deep. I sat there will the pressure washer and sprayed everything while it was running and it won't even hiccup | |

| I'll do them. Might be done already. Haha. I did find out it only has 1200 miles instead of 2000. Damn kilometers. Saved money buying it thinking 2000 miles. Haha | |

| Do you have the vent line from the carb rerouted? | |

| Does it die like you just turned off the key, sputter some or slowly bog down? | |

| check your exhaust for leaks or cracks......
your stator wires are next to the gas tank and by the motor,, check those and dielectric grease them.... remember a little dab will do ya with that nasty stuff.....
Thats the only thing i could think of.......

A lot of people relocate their coils if they're always in deep water.

| On my 660 there was a cooling fan on the passenger side that blew air to the exhaust hanger. If it gets bogged down it will stall the engine. I took mine off and never had an issue. Not sure if that is it but just a thought. | |

Beat me to it. I was heading in that direction if the air box was stock. Thats why I wanted to know how it was acting before it died. The sputtering part threw me.

| I think it's something electrical getting wet maybe your coil I would do everything with grease and make sure your carb is tight and vents have no holes rubbed in them | |

| first try wrapping it with plastic and see if it works. if that eliminates the problem you'll have to relocate the coil to a higher location. | |

| My old 450 done that every time the exhaust was under water. Didn't do it when until after a couple yrs of riding. Never could figure it out. I just had to hit the deep water hard and make a big wave to keep the tailpipe from going under. It would idle good and would only take just enough throttle to move, after that it would try to die. | |

| That sounds like back pressure. Same as if the exhaust was plugged. | |

| We just took an exhaust off and found it had a pencil size hole in it. Soaked it in water over night and beat it back right. | |
