New Yamaha SXS coming June 11 2013??.

Why do compines like to recycle names...

If it would have had a v-twin 750 I would have ordered one.

It's their most powerful 686 yet because they raised the compression on it to 10:1 which is what they should have always been.

It won't fit through the trees but it fits perfectly down the crop rows. Gotta love it..................

I will be keeping my 660...but if i ever do get another one it WONT be the viking.  Guess I will have to go with a Teryx or a RZR.  Sucks but not any other real choices out there.

I'm also keeping mine! I see a couple improvements in the Viking but not enough to purchase one. Yamaha is claiming they will release a new SXS every year for the next 5 years.

thats what my dealer said too!!

I was just really wanting them to release something with some grunt, even if it was a utility sxs.  I am curious now to see what the next few years have in store, if I can hold off that long.

I guess my thoughts were that I didn't want to have $25k in my Rhino to get the same performance that I should have been able to buy from the factory for $18k.  But now that I know that isn't going to happen for a while I guess it's time to keep working on the Rhino to make it better.

Yamaha has turned its back on its customers!!!

Have done the same thing on the snowmobile side for the last few years!

I guess everybody is a farmer & we don't need a V-twin or more travel or lighter weight or more seats for the whole family to enjoy!!!

They are operating like a company in financial trouble, that can not bring product to their customers that they ask for because of the o'l mighty dollar!!!

I wouldn't blame it all on Yamaha. It's the fucking lawyers! Look at what happened with Honda. If you look at it, the SXSs are small part in the grand scheme of their business.

It should be easy to upgrade the sheave on these since they didn't change much, I guess that is a plus.

I guess yamaha doesn't want to compete with the Razors, and Can Ams on the sport side of things.
Looks like the ranchers and farmers will be happy with the Viking though.
