| I use a snap on 18v impact to put them on. DO NOT use loctite or any thread locking compound...you will be cutting the nut off next time (been there-done that). The most important advice I can give is , once you put the od's in (whether you use grease or not)...keep constant pressure on the cam-plate with your thumb , until you get the nut tight !!! An od getting flopped is the most common issue people have. It's not a hard job at all...if you watch the how to vids a couple of times , you'll be fine. | |

| I've had mine off several times and I do just like scottwv said. You must keep the cam plate held in and then tighten the nut until tight. You do not need to go overboard. I use a 19v Craftsman Impact. | |

| Yamaha has a tool to hold the sheave...or you can wedge a wooden block in there to hold it...pretty sure the primary is 100ft lbs , not sure off the top of my head on the secondary. I've never had one come off from using an impact , in fact , I've had to cut 2 off ...once from using thread locker , and the other because I used the air gun , instead of the cordless. If u opt to use a torque wrench , make sure and torque it AFTER you have the belt on , and riding where's its suppose to be...if not , the od's can flop , and you'll be doing it all over again. | |

| make sure v-belt runs same way you took it off (arrow should point towards rear) 700cc = 100 ft. lbs. primary sheave; 72 ft. lbs secondary sheave 660cc = 85 ft. lbs. primary sheave; 72 ft. lbs secondary sheave 450cc = 72 ft. lbs. primary sheave; 72 ft. lbs secondary sheave use a 6-point socket if you have one so you don't bugger up the nut nobody likes buggered up nuts
